March 2020 Examinations and Referrals  

1.0        RELEASE OF THE NOVEMBER  2023 BUSINESS AND TECHNICAL   EXAMINATIONS RESULTS

 

The results for November 2019 Business and Technical Examinations have been released. Colleges are advised to collect the result printout from KNEC offices in New Mitihani house, South C, during working hours.

 

2.0                       REGISTRATION FOR MARCH 2020 BUSINESS AND TECHNICAL EXAMINATIONS

 

2.1 The system for registration of candidates for the March 2020 Business and Technical examinations is open and will close on 7th February, 2020.

 

2.2 Registration is done online and is accessible through the KNEC Website on the following link. http://registration.KNEC.ac.ke/online. Candidates must adhere to all the instructions in the registration circular Ref: KNEC/GEN/EA/PM/TE/BE/2019/01.

 

2.3 A passport size photograph for each candidate must be uploaded onto the online system to complete the registration exercise.

 

2.4 A hard copy of the registration data and fee payment summary should be printed from the online system then verified, signed and stamped. This has to be submitted to KNEC with the required registration documents and bank deposit slips within the registration period.

 

3.0       REGISTRATION FOR NOVEMBER 2019 REFERAL PAPER(S)

 

3.1 Those candidates who sat for November 2019 Business and Technical examinations and were referred in either one or two papers are allowed to register for March 2020 examination.

3.2 The registration for these should be done between 20th January and 7th February, 2020.

 

4.0        REGISTRATION FOR PHASED OUT PROGRAMS

 

4.1 Those candidates who sat for courses in Technical Education Programme (TEP) which were phased out and replaced with new TVET modular programmes and were referred in either one or two papers are allowed to register provided that they have not attempted in more than five years. Note: This will also apply in the next two subsequent examination series only.

 

5.0 REGISTRATION OF UNQUALIFIED CANDIDATES/EXAMINATION MALPRACTICES

 

5.1 Colleges are reminded that qualification of students should be strictly checked during admission for training and registration.  Registering unqualified students for examination is an irregularity and may lead to deregistration of an examination centre. The unqualified students will be automatically deleted from KNEC system without reference to the institution.

 

5.2 Institutions registering for Single and Group examinations should attach the lower qualifications for the subjects registered and submit to KNEC together with other registration documents referred to in 2.4 above.

 

5.3 Institutions are required to sensitize their candidates on examination regulations. Centres that get involved in examination malpractices will be deregistered.

 

6.0       PAYMENT OF FEES

 

6.1 All institutions registering candidates will generate a bill online for the keyed in candidates on the platform and present it to either Kenya Commercial Bank, National Bank of Kenya Equity Bank or Co-operative Bank of Kenya for payment.

 

7.0        NOTE

 

Registration Dates have to be adhered to as NO candidate will be registered after Friday 7th February, 2020.

KMTC Beyond Zero Nursing Scholarships

KMTC Beyond Zero Nursing ScholarshipsThe Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) in collaboration with Beyond Zero is offering training opportunities for a Certificate course in Community Health Nursing commencing March 2020 in the 2019/2020 Academic Year.

Priority will be given to qualified candidates from selected Arid and Semi-Arid (ASAL) counties, under-served Minorities and other Vulnerable and Marginalized Groups (VMGs) willing to serve in their communities upon graduation.

The VMGs are defined by the Ministry of Health Vulnerable and Marginalized Groups Framework (VMGF) that can be downloaded from the Ministry of Health Website .

Applicants are expected to attach a handwritten essay of not more than two hundred (200) words explaining why they feel that they deserve the scholarship and the contribution they will make to the community upon graduation.

Applications should be sent so as to reach the Chief Executive Officer, KMTC on or before 31st January 2020.

Successful applicants will receive full scholarship for the duration of the course. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

    10. On the left panel, click on Application and then click on ‘Apply Preservice’

    11. Enter the subject grades as reflected in your result slip (Ensure you enter subject grades accurate ly). For subjects not done choose the option ‘I didn’t do’

    12. When you are through with entering the grades per subject, dick on SUBMIT

    13. Next upload your certificates – KCSE, Leaving certificate and ID (both sides) or birth certificate

    14. Next the uploaded documents will be displayed, dick on submit in order to submit each docu ment.

    15. Under the select level, choose the Beyond Zero Scholarship option, under Academic calen-dar choose 2019/2020 and under intake choose March Intake .

    16. You will be presented with the Beyond Zero Application form, fill in the parents informa-tion and the education background and tribe then click on save info

    17. You will be provided with the duly filled form to confirm the accuracy of the information filled in.

    18 Check information accuracy and if the information entered is correct, click on “print form”

Apply for KCB Foundation 2023-2024 High School Education Scholarship

The KCB Foundation scholarships make dreams come true for many students who would otherwise not join a secondary school or step foot in a class, again. The application period for the KCB Foundation secondary school scholarships is now open.

These scholarships are designed to give bright children from needy backgrounds a chance to access secondary education.

Selection criteria

  • The applicant must have completed their KCPE in 2019.
  • The applicant must come from a needy background.
  • The applicant must have attained the prescribed county cut off marks.
  • The applicant must have sat their KCPE examination in a public primary school and have an admission notification to a public National or County secondary school.

Application process

The KCB Scholarship application forms are available at all the KCB Branches countrywide and on the KCB Foundation website. The form must be completed in full and all relevant supporting documentation should be attached. Applicants will be expected to come with the forms for interviews in the county where they sat their KCPE examination.

The interviews will take place on 7th December 2019 in centres countrywide. (Interviews will be conducted per county). Interviews for Nyamira County will be held on 6th December 2019.

Candidates are advised to visit the branches or the website to see details of the interview locations.

The 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results are officially out.

  • Candidates who sat for the exams can now access and check their KCSE results
  • One way is via SMS by sending their index number using the sms code 20076
  • They can also visit the KNEC portal

The results of the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations were on Wednesday released by Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) headquarters.

The examination, which was conducted between November 4 – 27, saw a total of 699,745 candidates sitting.

To check for the results, candidates and their parents/guardians can use an SMS-based platform:

1. Create a new message

2. Type the index number of the candidate (11 digits)

3. Send the text to the number 20076

4. You will receive the results for each subject and the final marks

Only Safaricom and Airtel customers will be able to access the service for the 2019 KCSE results.

Principals of the respective schools can also download and print the results of their students through the Ministry of Education online portal

 

Steps to Check KCSE Results 2017

Candidates who sat for the exams can now check their KCSE results via SMS by sending their index number through the SMS code 22252.

The candidates can as well access their results by visiting the KNEC portal later in the day when it will be updated.

Better yet, the candidates can get their results in their respective secondary schools soonest by tomorrow.

According to the results announced by Education Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i, public school’s performance has significantly improved as compared to previous years

Creating an account
NB/ You must have a valid email address

  1. Log to KMTC website www.kmtc.ac.ke
  2. On the menu, click on the PORTAL menu item, the last item on the right side
  3. You will land on the online registration portal  http://kmtc.ac.ke/portal
  4. If you have registered an account, log in using your email and password
  5. If you don’t have an account, click on the (Have no account? Register) below the login form.
  6. This will land you to creating account form
  7. Enter your valid email and password
  8. Click on Create Account Button
  9. An email will be sent to your email address with a link to verify your account.
  10. Open your email and Click on the email link
  11. You will be redirected to KMTC portal.
  12. Fill in your personal information on the account creation form provided
  13. Click on the register button
  14. You will be provide you with a form to confirm your data
  15. Check information accuracy
  16. Click save changes.

KMTC Application Process

  1. On the left sidebar, click on the applications
  2. From the drop-down menu, click apply
  3. You will be directed to option 1 course selection
  4. Select the Option 1 course level (Diploma or Certificate)
  5. Click Search
  6. A form will appear within the page
  7. Select your desired course
  8. Fill in the form details as guided by the from labels
  9. Make sure that all fields are filled
  10. Click on submit application
  11. You will be redirected to Option 2 Form
  12. Select the course level (Diploma or Certificate)
  13. Click Search
  14. Courses under Diploma will be shown
  15. Select your desired option 2  course
  16. Fill in the form details as guided by the from labels
  17. Make sure that all fields are filled
  18. Click on submit application
  19. You will be redirected to Upload KCSE certificate page.
  20. Select the KCSE certificate/ result slip soft-copy file
  21. Click upload
  22. You will be redirected to Upload leaving certificate page.
  23. Select the leaving certificate soft-copy file
  24. Click upload
  25. You will be redirected to Upload National ID/ Birth Certificate/ Passport page.
  26. Select the leaving National ID/ Birth Certificate/ Passport soft-copy file on the front side
  27. Select the leaving National ID/ Birth Certificate/ Passport soft-copy file on the back side
  28. Click upload
  29. You will be redirected to confirm courses page
  30. Make sure the courses listed reflects your selected courses
  31. If you wish to change the course click on reject button
  32. You will be redirected to application page again
  33. Once satisfied click to confirm and you will be redirected to make a payment of Ksh. 2,022 to MPESA pay bill number 964150 (Confirm that the payment is paid to Kenya Medical Training College)
  34. Click on confirm button
  35. If you get a message with a message (“Please pay Ksh. 2022 to pay bill number 964150 To Confirm the Courses”), Please wait for up to ten minutes and refresh the page.
  36. A confirmation SMS will be sent to your phone number.(Added as phone number 1 during entering of personal information)

  38. Click on My Applications from left menu to see your applied courses
