The Kenyan Ministry of Education (MoE), on September 6, 2019 released the 2023 term dates for schools and colleges.

Term 1: January 6, 2020 – April 10, 2020

Opening and Closing dates respectively for Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary schools. There will be a total of 14 Weeks in the first term.

February 17th to 21st, 2020

Term 1 mid-term break for Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary schools.

Term 2: May 4, 2020 – August 7, 2020

Opening and Closing dates respectively for Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary schools. There will be a total of 14 Weeks in the second term.

June 15th to 19th, 2020

Term 2 mid-term break for Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary schools.

Term 3: August 31, 2020 – October 30 2020

Opening and Closing dates respectively for Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary schools. There will be a total of 9 Weeks for Primary school and 10 Weeks for Secondary school in the third term.

KCPE: November 2, 2020 to November 5, 2020

KCSE: November 6, 2020 to November 30, 2020
