1. Chauffeur/Valet

Job description

The Chauffeur/Valet will report to Chief Concierge. His overall objective will be to organize and arrange all guest pick up and drop off services according to the guest requirements and to ensure that guest, requiring this service are picked up from any location within the least waiting time possible and are transferred to the hotel.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest standard of personal appearance.
  • Conduct, hygiene and posture.
  • Assist guest in loading the luggage in the trunk of the limousine.
  • Guest Name will be used throughout the conversation.
  • Wear Name tag and be well groomed.
  • Be fully conversant with all hotel activities and promotions.
  • Exhibit a friendly manner with smile.
  • Limousines are operated utmost safe and without speeding.
  • Limousines are operated highly fuel efficient.
  • Image of the Hotel is well maintained in road traffic.
  • Respect guest’s presence when interacting with other Colleagues.
  • Ascertain if guest would like to listen to the radio.
  • Ensure standard amenities (water still, sparkling, chilled and room temperature).
  • Ensure to report back to Chief Concierge or any Executive in case of any minor or major accident during the process of driving or any other event.
  • Ensure all vehicles are in safe, clean and well-maintained driving condition.
  • Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.

Desired Qualifications And Skills

  • High School Graduate or equivalent, preferably with a specialization in Hotel/Restaurant or with a College certificate.
  • 5 years driving experience
  • In depth knowledge of the City and the surroundings
  • Valid PSV Driver’s License/ International driver’s license (Added advantage)
  • Defensive driving certificate (Added advantage)
  • Mechanical knowledge of automobile (Added advantage)
  • Familiar with traffic laws / rules and regulations
  • Local language – excellent oral and written skills (as applicable)
  • English – good oral and written skills
  • Additional language – beneficial

2. Commis Chef

Job description

Reporting to the Demi Chef de Partie/Chef de Partie , Commis Chef’s main function will be. Prepare the mise en place and handle food preparation, ensure Kitchen equipment is prepared for use, first aid and fire emergency procedures are displayed, and all equipment is operated safely and sensibly, ensure that HACCP is implemented and practiced and assist with food presentation as part of the kitchen brigade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare kitchen equipment for use.
  • Assemble and prepare ingredients for menu items.
  • Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures is demonstrated and it is ensured that all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines.

3. Airport Representative

Job description

The incumbent will report to Chief Concierge and will be responsible of representing the hotel at the airport, welcome and see off our guests as well as providing any other help at the airport. LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) audit results are 85% and above. direct guests to any location, to any airline office, at any time of day or night. Must be motivated by the desire to serve.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide daily pick up and see off service for the guests booked for airport transportation.
  • Provide available information pertaining to all hotel services, local place of interest, restaurants, doctors, sports, churches, offices, flights etc. all information likely to be of interest to the guests who attend to the airport.
  • Coordinate Concierge regarding the transportation request and updated flight changes in order to meet the guest always on time.
  • Familiarize with all hotel and city on-going and upcoming activities in order to provide satisfactory service to all the hotel guests.
  • Assist the guests (especially the VIPs) at the airport with all matters concerning their departures, luggage, handling airport ticket reservation and reconfirmation in order to provide exceptional service to the guests at the airport.
  • Promote and maintain good public relationship with airline offices, customs, police office and other airport personnel in order to have better communication concerning daily operation.

4. Waiter/Waitress

Job description

Reporting to the Outlet Supervisor/Assistant Outlet Manager/Outlet Manager,The overall scope of the incumbent will includes serving food and beverages to guests in the assigned outlet, providing a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service consistent with the standards of the hotel and in line with Kempinski’s DNA values in order to encourage sales and maximize guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report to duty punctually wearing the correct uniform, clean and well pressed including appropriate shoes (polished) and nametag at all times according to the hotels dress code & Kempinski grooming standards, maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
  • A courteous, professional and efficient service is provided at all times.
  • All duties and tasks are performed as per the tasks required at the outlet.
  • Be knowledgeable of all services and products offered by the hotel.
  • Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items offered by the department assigned.
  • Have the knowledge and understanding to explain and perform upselling all items offered by the department assigned as well as offering alternatives.
  • Monitor operating supplies, equipment and reduce spoilage and wastage successfully.
  • Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
  • Successfully perform opening and closing procedures established for the assigned outlet
  • Handle guest enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints and feedback to supervisors.
  • Report guest complaints immediately to the supervisors and ensuring follow up is performed with the guest.
  • Be knowledgeable to operate the existing POS system based on the trained responsibility level as assigned in the department.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to the rules & regulations established in the hotel’s policy manual and the hotel’s policy on fire, hygiene, health & safety.
  • Maintain a good rapport and work relation with staff in the assigned department and within the hotel.
  • Attend and contribute to all staff meetings, departmental trainings and hotel initiated trainings scheduled.
  • Undertake reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Department Head.
  • Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the hotel management.
  • Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
  • Perform any other assigned reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
