Infinix’s Next Hero – Infinix Zero 2 X509 Specs and price in Kenya
To get a feel of what this new offering is all about, let us delve down to the specifics starting from the front working around to the back in no particular order
Infinix Zero 2 X509
The display is 5 inches in size for a smartphone which also measures an impressive 6.7 mm on the sides. Both the front and the back are designed to be completely flat in this chocolate- bar shaped device. To further add impetus to the refinement that has gone into the form factor, its weight has been kept low at 118 grams.
The resolution on the AMOLED display is 720p. This promises to deliver high quality graphics considering the healthy pixel population of 294 ppi. Additionally, there’s the reinforced 0.55 mm layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to act as a defense against damage.
As opposed to the toughened glass back of last year’s model, this latest Infinix Zero 2 X509’s back has been made even stronger. It has been fashioned from Kevlar, a synthetic fiber that is said to tolerate five times more strain than steel. It is the kind of stuff whose other applications include manufacturing body armor like combat helmets and ballistic vests. Smartphone manufacturers particularly prefer it because it does not interfere with signal transmission.
Infinix Zero 2 X509 runs on Android 4.4.2 which is a major drawback for a smartphone that is launching halfway through the year 2015 when everyone else is moving to Android 5.0 Lollipop. The only thing that is new in terms of software is the Infinix user interface version 2.0 that improves on icon design.
This is a twin SIM device and the slots are located inside a retractable tray on the left hand side. The memory card tray is located on the right hand side, above the volume rocker and the power button. Both trays will require you to use an ejection pin to draw them out. Luckily, it is part of the package.
The processor is a powerful MTK6592 2.0 GHz octa- core chip that is complemented by 2GB of RAM. This will deliver great satisfaction when indulging in gaming, streaming and multimedia viewing activities.
The primary camera is a 13 megapixel shooter with LED while the secondary snapper at the front has an 85- degree wide angle lens for great group selfies. Since standard storage is 32GB, there will be plenty of room to store the pictures away for review. That is, the 2, 300 mAh battery permitting.
